Orthodox Christian Free Translation

Have you ever opened an Orthodox prayer book and thought, "That sounds awkward"? Or tried to sing along at another parish and realized, "That's not the translation we use at my church"?

Here at OCFT we have a vision: to create a cohesive, consistent, accurate translation of all primary Orthodox liturgical texts, licensed for royalty-free commercial usage.

Join us and help free Orthodox liturgical texts from the fetters of copyright law!

We are now accepting contributions of any and all Orthodox liturgical texts to which you own the rights, including original translations.

How can you contribute?

First: License your text under Creative Commons license CC BY-ND and notify us. (For more information, visit https://creativecommons.org/chooser.) It will then be published on the OCFT website for public usage.

Second: Complete a copyright transfer agreement and transfer all rights to your liturgical text to OCFT. The text will be added to our database of liturgical texts, and will serve either as the basis or as a reference for the final translation to be published on the OCFT website.
