St. Chariton was a pilgrim to the Holy Land in the 3rd century after being almost martyred for his faith in the Balkans. While in the Holy Land, St. Chariton was miraculously preserved from a band of robbers and came to found several monasteries. One bears his name and is still inhabited by several monks.

St. Eustathius, together with his family, embrace the path of Christ, being tragically separated and then miraculously united in great joy.

Both lives are from the Menology of St. Dimitrius of Rostov. 1 CD, 71 minutes
